Cliff Palace is a tourist spot in Bandung that is unique. As the name suggests, Tebing Keraton is a cliff in North Bandung. Cliff Keraton began to be known by many tourists thanks to social media which immediately became popular.

At first, this cliff was named the Jontor Cliff because it has a shape that leans or protrudes forward. In early 2014, it was changed to Tebing Karaton, which was spelled Tebing Keraton. The cliff in Sundanese is called Gawir which means a high place on the edge of a cliff. While the palace has the meaning of splendor and luxury.

No less interesting with Bandung tours such as Bukit Bintang (Moko Hill) in Dago which presents the beautiful view of the city of Bandung with shining lights. Cliff Palace also has a charming view, especially at sunset or sunrise.

Many say that the Keraton Cliff is the best place to see the sunrise in Bandung. Seeing the beautiful and enchanting sunrise is the main goal of the visitors. 

Sunrise is the best time to capture the beautiful scenery. The view of the sunrise combined with the green of the trees covered in white fog makes a beautiful photo background.

The cliffs of the palace are located at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level, so from here we can enjoy the view of the vast forest that stretches with green trees and mountains which are the best views on the cliffs of the palace.

Entering the Tebing Keraton visitors will be charged an entrance ticket of IDR 10,000 plus 1,000 for insurance per person plus a motor vehicle parking fee of IDR 5,000 and IDR 10,000 for cars. Cliff Kerato is open from 08.00 to 18.00 WIB.

Location and Road to Cliff Keraton

Tebing Keraton is located in the Forest Park Area (Tahura) Ir. H Djuanda, Dago area above, precisely in Ciburial Village, about 13 km from Bandung Station. To reach the Keraton Cliff from Bandung Station to Jalan Ir H Juanda, continue towards ITB. 

After passing the Pasopati flyover you will arrive at the Dago terminal, just go straight until you meet a fork. Which shows the left direction to Dago Giri while to the right towards Dago Pakar Hill, follow the road to the right.

Just follow the road until you meet Indomaret on the left side of the road, and not far from Indomaret you will meet a three-way intersection then take the left road towards Taman Hutan Raya Ir. Juanda. 

Just follow the road until you meet a three-way intersection and take a right towards Bukit Pakar Utara followed by taking the right direction when you meet a branch road with uphill road conditions.

After that, we will meet the Bandrek shop and not far from the shop there is a two-branch road take to the left. 

Just follow it and you will pass the residential area to the end then turn left and you arrive at the entrance to the Cliff Palace. If from Tahura the trip is about 3.5 km, it's just that the road conditions are not good.

You can also ask the local community if you are confused, they will be answered in a friendly manner and told the way to Tebing Keraton. 

We recommend that if you want to visit Kerton Cliff using a motorbike, it will be wiser because the road conditions are not so wide and the car can't get to the top, you have to use a motorcycle taxi.

Tips for Visiting Keraton Cliffs

For those of you who want to visit the Keraton Cliff, make sure your vehicle is in good condition considering the road to the Keraton Cliff is uphill and also the road conditions are not good. Also, make sure your vehicle's fuel is filled because there are no petrol sellers.

You should bring a jacket and shoes, because the air in Tebing Keraton is quite cold, especially in the morning, always be careful with the condition of the soil in the form of dry sand which is quite slippery.
