The tourist spot of Rammang-Rammang is a limestone or karst mountain area in Maros. There is the beauty of the karst mountains which are quite extensive with rivers and beautiful rice fields around it. 
 
Rammang-Rammang Maros is known to have been formed a long time ago, which is about 30 million years ago. However, in this area, it is estimated that humans only started to become inhabited 40 thousand years ago. The human traces in the past can still be enjoyed by visitors through handwriting or symbols on the mountain walls.

Rammang-Rammang was first developed in 2014 by the people in Salenrang Village. This area was finally opened to the public. Since that development, residents finally started to get to know the tourist spot, especially when it had spread from social media. 

Location of Rammang-Rammang Maros

For tourists who want to come, you can visit Rammang-Rammang Maros in Salenrang Village, Bontoa District, Maros Regency. The location is about 40 km north of Makassar City, Indonesia. 

Before leaving, you should prepare cash to pay for the boat rental. Because one way to enjoy these tourist attractions is by boat to Kampung Benua. Later, after arriving at Kampung Benua, you can do tracking around the limestone mountains.

If you don't know exactly how the conditions at this tourist spot are probably still thinking twice about visiting it. But did you know that visiting Rammang-Rammang will allow you to discover the third largest limestone garden tour in the world?
 
Not only the limestone garden, but you can also enjoy the charm of Angel Park Lake. This lake is also rarely known by many tourists. You can pass the limestone rocks first because the place of this angelic lake is in the middle of the limestone mountains.

You can also find Bulu Barakka Cave which is located not far from the Rammang-Rammang Limestone Park Forest area. Meanwhile, in Bugis language, Bulu means mountain and Barakka means a blessing from the almighty. In this cave, you can find archeology in the form of handprints which are believed to be handprints of ancient humans who lived more or fewer thousands of years ago.

There is also the name Palm Cave which is not much different. There is one route with Telaga Bidadari, which is approximately 2 km away by foot. In this cave, there are archaeological remains that you can find in the form of ancient human palms, pictures of animals, and pictures of boats produced by early humans.

Still with the cave category, the third or next one is Pasaung Cave. This cave is the third cave and is located in Berua Village. Some give the name of the fighting because it was used to carry out traditions or entertainment in the form of cockfighting.

Next is you can find the nearest village. Its name is Kampung Berua. This village is a village that is found when you use the second route, namely by crossing the river using a boat route. Later in this village, you will find beautiful and verdant views of rice fields. There is a reflection of the mirror view that is so beautiful and exotic.
