Gedambaan Beach is known as Sarang Tiung beach, the beach is located 14 km from downtown Kotabaru. Transportation to Gedambaan Beach
To go to Kotabaru, you can cross to the port of Tanjung Serdang using a ferry. The crossing time can reach approximately 20 minutes. Then from the terminal in Kotabaru, the journey continues again using a green angkot with the direction of Siring Laut. This angkot can take you for Rp. 10,000. The distance from Banjarmasin to Kotabaru is very far.
The journey using public transportation can take up to 7 hours. If you don't want to be on the road too long, some planes depart from Banjarmasin to Kotabaru. Traveling by plane only takes half an hour. Airfare, which is not too far from the bus fare, makes it a more convenient option with a much faster travel time.

This sailboat is usually used by fishermen to find fish in the sea. There is a kind of bridge made of many cylindrical concrete piles. These stakes are driven into the seabed of Gedambaan beach in three longitudinal rows. If measured from the shoreline, maybe this pile bridge can be 50 m long.
Lodging on Gedambaan Beach
On Gedambaan beach several huts are used as cottages. These cottages are very simple and can accommodate about 5 people. The cottages are in the form of houses on stilts with walls made of wooden planks arranged horizontally.

Cottages are connected to each other by walkways made of paving blocks.
